"Secret Identities"

Our neighbor was cleaning out her basement (yes the one that ws flooded) and brought over a large bin of dress up clothes. The kids and the other neighbor's daughter had fun trying on their secret identities! I had so much fun laughing and snapping great blackmail photos for the future!!! Here is a sneak peek at my favorites......

Keith's Birthday Party

What a great day! It was beautiful and sunny untill 10 minutes before the guests arrived. Ten boys in the house for two hours! I am sure you can get the picture. I told the boys that as long as there was no thunder they had to be outside anyway. That lasted only a few minutes. The kids were able to have the pinata outside between storms! We did face painting and had cupcakes and ice cream and of course there was the presents! It was good. They all left about 2 hours after they came and that is when the rain stopped. Go figure. As they left we started to prepare for the family party for the Grandparents and Uncles and Aunts. And of course our luck played in and the power went out as we were starting dinner. Come to find out it was only our power and one neighbors. They were drying out their flooded basement and I guess the transformer for our two houses couldn't take it. We called the power company and they came and swapped out the transformer. Gramy and Papa Gaun could't make it due to the storm but everyone else did and it was a good time.

Sometimes I wonder when our luck is going to turn around for us. Fred found out 2 days ago that IBM is again cutting his pay. There is also talk about layoffs again in September. We are looking at other possibilities for work for him. To make things even more crazy, Fred stopped at the other house this morning on the way home and found that the house had been broken into and most of his tools have been stolen along with our safe. It is pouring rain, thunder is loud and crazy, the trooper said we probably will never see our stuff so to file a claim with our insurance. We need to get the other tools they left out from the house, notify the needed people about all of our documents and paperwork that was taken. Watch for identity theft for the children. So we are not going camping this weekend. Then we had to stop at the auto body shop down the road because our van smells like mildew and we think that the repairs that were done in the fall last year has caused some leakage. Oh yeah I almost forgot, I had to chase bats out of my camper last night!

On a happier note....... Keith is 7 years old today. We have tried to keep his day special. He wants chinese food for dinner and Grandma and Grandpa Grimm are coming over this afternoon. Grandma made Keith's favorite chocolate pie for dessert!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BIG BOY! i LOVE YOU!!!!!;*

Summer is crazy with 3 kids!

Okay, so I have been meaning to do this for a while now and I thought that with the "lazy days " of summer that I would have been doing this a while ago. Well, it is 11pm at night and the children are all asleep my dear husband is at work and the two dogs are napping on the floor next to me. Some may say "why aren't you in bed sleeping while you can?" And I say " when else would I do this?" We have had a great summer so far. We have been camping with our friends a few times, some playdates at the beach, a trip to North Carolina to see my new neice and oh yeah, her parents too! LOL!
Here is a picture of my beautiful girl Sarah enjoying the sunset on the forth of July!

Here is one of my little man Keith enjoying an afternoon of fishing!

And here is one of Logan enjoying the summer beach for the first time! What a sweetie!

Well, now it is almost midnight and I am getting very sleepy. I have to go to the RV shop tomorrow morning to have the brake controller replaced on the van so that we can take the kids camping this weekend for Keith's 7th birthday. When we get back on Sunday we will have 3 hours to unpack and get set up for his party with all his friends. I'll let you know if I surrvive.
Good-nite!
